Welcome to the Paint-A-Flower Camellia Blog Hop and Giveaway. If you have hopped over from Amanda Baldwin's you are right on track. You can start the hop over on the Altenew Card Blog.
For today's hop I created a simple watercolour card. As my lesson preparations are taking up a lot more of my time as I'm having to prep for in class and digital teaching, crafting simple and easy projects is my new go to.
How to:
- Stamp the flowers on some watercolour paper using embossing ink and add Antique Gold embossing powder. Heat set the powder.
- Loosely add your favourite watercolours. I used the Altenew 36 Pan set.
- Once the flowers and leaves are painted, add a light colour wash as background and splatter some ink onto the card using leftover watercolour paint.
- For your sentiment, choose the one that speaks to you the most and stamp it with embossing ink onto some vellum. Carefully heat set it and adhere it to your card.
- For subtle details add some Antique Gold Metallic Thread.
I love the combination of gold and bright colours. What is your favourite technique for quick and easy cards?
